Setting off at 8am, the main objective of the day was to disrupt criminal activities in the area. The officers travelled in convoy with their sirens blaring through Elspark, Wadeville, Elsburg and Mimosa Park. Stop-and-search operations were conducted where suspicious people and motor vehicles were searched.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>2. That was also the case for the Halgreen family, who were woken up by the same storm. \u201cIt was around 11pm when I was woken up by thunder, lightning and a slight drizzle,\u201d said Arwen Halgreen. \u201cMy husband Allan also woke up and shortly after, the storm hit and things turned bad. We heard something pop and decided to go check outside, to try and find out what it was &#8211; only to find that our wall had collapsed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Six-car crash leaves two dead, two critical: http:\/\/bit.ly\/2he6D05<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/31\/2016\/12\/IMG_1766-Custom1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-140958\" src=\"https:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/31\/2016\/12\/IMG_1766-Custom1-520x400.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1766 (Custom)\" width=\"520\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Two motorists were killed after six light motor vehicles were involved in a crash on the N3 highway in the early hours of December 4. The accident happened between the Leondale Road and Old Heidelberg Road off-ramps and the highway had to be closed to traffic in both directions. Two people sustained critical injuries and seven others escaped with minor injuries. All the injured were transported to Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital for medical care.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. The interruption was due to routine maintenance and repairs at the Hilltop Reservoir. Consumers were encouraged to store water sufficient to last them for the duration of the interruption.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5.
