Photo by: Arno de Klerk<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWhen she arrived at the boma, she appeared calm and by Tuesday she&#8217;d drunk some water and was doing well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe appears to be a good candidate for rehabilitation and when she\u2019s recovered, she\u2019ll be released at a nature reserve,\u201d de Klerk said.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the owner of the animal is welcome to contact the NSPCA, as it&#8217;s unknown where the zebra came from at this stage.<\/p>\n<p>De Klerk told the GCN that the unit received cases of this nature quite often.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople must remember that they need permits to keep and transport all indigenous animals,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_139720\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-139720\" style=\"width: 360px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/31\/2016\/11\/IMG-20161130-WA0005-Custom.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-139720 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/31\/2016\/11\/IMG-20161130-WA0005-Custom-360x400.jpg\" alt=\"At the boma.\" width=\"360\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-139720\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">At the boma.
