the hero of festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Colour in the Sun, inspired by the traditional Holi colour festival in India, ventures to Carnival City on December 16, National Reconciliation Day.<\/p>\n<p>The event will bring together thousands of colour-crazy revellers for an afternoon of spectacular entertainment, sets by well-known DJs and tons of powder-infused fun.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>Confirmed artists and DJs include Dj Zan D, Infinite Boys, Major League Dj\u2019s, Dimplez, Sterra on Percussion, Shorts Da Deejay, and Morgan Beat Box.<\/p>\n<p>More featured artists will be announced in the coming weeks.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cCelebrate National Reconciliation Day with awesome music, a super-charged vibe and loads of colour.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLaugh, dance and play the day away in the spirit of togetherness for which this international festival is renowned,\u201d said Michelle Smith, the marketing manager at Carnival City.<\/p>\n<p>Colour in the Sun is a top-class colour festival promoting unity and equality while celebrating youth, togetherness and fun.<\/p>\n<p>This festival derives from an ancient Hindu festival celebrating springtime, love and, of course, colours.<\/p>\n<p>It has recently spread from its origins in India and Nepal to parts of Europe as a non-religious day to reflect equality and togetherness.<\/p>\n<p>Against a festive backdrop of song and dance, participants play, chase and colour each other with bright, dry powders.<\/p>\n<p>All colours consist of corn starch and an aromatic substance.<\/p>\n<p>The colourants differentiate per colour.<\/p>\n<p>Aromatic substances include lavender, lavender oil, sage, dill, 2-undecanone, chamomile, rosemary, rosemary oil and acetic acid.<\/p>\n<p>The colours are red, green, pink, orange, blue and
