To be able to help and give back to the community is something wonderful and Bedfordview-based company Shatterprufe has done just that.<\/p>\n

After seeing the article in the GCN \u201cRock attack knocks out fire services\u201d (GCN, August 26) about the rock-wielding assailant who damaged a number of fire engines at the Primrose Fire Station, including destroying the windscreen of the station\u2019s major pumper, Monique Oosthuizen from Shatterprufe decided something should be done about the matter.<\/p>

\u201cI took the initiative and approached my manager Brian Crous about helping the station replace the windscreen,\u201d said Monique.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe immediately agreed as we want to give back to the community and the Primrose Fire Station is the closest station to our offices.\u201d<\/p>
