{"id":135604,"date":"2016-10-14T07:25:00","date_gmt":"2016-10-14T05:25:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/135604\/support-for-families-of-drug-addicts-offered\/"},"modified":"2016-10-14T12:40:53","modified_gmt":"2016-10-14T10:40:53","slug":"support-for-families-of-drug-addicts-offered","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/develop.citizen.co.za\/germiston-city-news\/news-headlines\/2016\/10\/14\/support-for-families-of-drug-addicts-offered\/","title":{"rendered":"Support for families of drug addicts offered"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The drug scourge facing South Africa has increasingly and adversely affected all corners of society.<\/p>\n<p>Families are always the first to suffer the negative effects associated with addiction, as addicts draw various members of the family unit into a web of lies and deceit whilst furthering their aims.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>Drug addicts are not the only ones that suffer the dire consequences of drug use, as families are drawn into almost every facet of the user\u2019s life.<\/p>\n<p>This can be a dangerous, lonely and daunting place to be, as there is often very little or no recourse to help available for families in dealing with the various negative aspects of alcohol and drug use &#8211;
