Today (September 23) is Hug A Vegetarian Day which celebrates those who have taken a decision to remove meat from their diet.<\/p>\n

There are various reasons why people decide to become vegetarians, but today the focus is on showing recognition and appreciation for those who have made the, often challenging, conversion to a meat-free and animal-product free lifestyle.<\/p>

The transition often is not easy especially if you have been eating meat for most of your life.<\/p>\n

The other challenging factor is that food options tend to be limited at restaurants and events.<\/p>

Politics aside, just give your vegetarian loved ones as many hugs as you can today.<\/p>\n

Most importantly, respect and appreciate their choice as much as they respect yours.<\/p>\n

Another way to honour them, in addition to showering them with hugs, would be to take them out and eat what they eat.<\/p>\n

Whatever you do, just remember to hug them.<\/p>\n
