Here is a round-up of some of the extreme weather conditions across the country:<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<h2><strong>KZN gets record breaking rain<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/albertonrecord.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/35\/2016\/07\/index5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-115297\" src=\"https:\/\/albertonrecord.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/35\/2016\/07\/index5.jpg\" alt=\"index5\" width=\"647\" height=\"485\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The South African Weather Service confirmed that <a href=\"https:\/\/risingsunchatsworth.co.za\/65485\/storm-wreaks-havoc-in-durban\/\" target=\"_blank\">KZN<\/a> has experienced record rainfall over the last 24 hours. The estimated rainfall is 203mm in Margate and 99mm in Durban South. Residents and motorists were urged to be careful as the storm has already destroyed buildings and claimed the life of a <a href=\"https:\/\/risingsunchatsworth.co.za\/65657\/breaking-missing-flood-victim-found-dead\/\" target=\"_blank\">woman <\/a>who was swept off a low-lying bridge in Silverglen in Chatsworth.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<h2><strong>Magaliesberg hit by a tornado<\/strong><\/h2>\n<div class='tie-fluid-width-video-wrapper tie-ignore-fitvid' style='margin-bottom: 30px;'>\n\t\t\t<iframe style='width: 100%; min-height: 300px; aspect-ratio: 16\/9;' src='https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/TvQRxgEUecY' loading='lazy'><\/iframe>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<p>In Koesterfontein in the Magaliesburg area, Mario Ferrerira posted a video on Youtube of a <a href=\"http:\/\/krugersdorpnews.co.za\/303428\/tornado-blows-through-magalies\/\" target=\"_blank\">tornado <\/a>on Monday, 25 July around 3.30pm. Residents in the area reported\u00a0that the tornado caused severe damage.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Snowy Eastern Cape<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/albertonrecord.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/35\/2016\/07\/13620034_897674927026529_7757189220998413377_n1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-115298\" src=\"https:\/\/albertonrecord.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/35\/2016\/07\/13620034_897674927026529_7757189220998413377_n1.jpg\" alt=\"13620034_897674927026529_7757189220998413377_n\" width=\"645\" height=\"363\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not uncommon for the Eastern Cape to be snowy white around this time of the year, but the SA Weather Services has warned that these <a href=\"https:\/\/albertonrecord.co.za\/115178\/check-out-these-pictures-of-snowfall-around-south-africa\/\" target=\"_blank\">snowy conditions<\/a> could be disruptive in a few areas. <a href=\"https:\/\/lowvelder.co.za\/346878\/snow-possible-in-the-lowveld\/\" target=\"_blank\">Snow<\/a> has fallen on the south-western and western high grounds of KwaZulu-Natal, the northern high grounds of the Eastern Cape and the eastern and southern parts of the Free State.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Extreme windy conditions<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/albertonrecord.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/35\/2016\/07\/CoSozzNXYAAx9bM.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-115299\" src=\"https:\/\/albertonrecord.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/35\/2016\/07\/CoSozzNXYAAx9bM.jpg\" alt=\"CoSozzNXYAAx9bM\" width=\"644\" height=\"527\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Gale force easterly to north-easterly winds (65 \u2013 75km\/h) hit Cape St. Francis and Port Edward on Monday evening and a south-easterly hit Table Bay and Stilbaai. The weather services also warned of high seas with wave heights measuring from 6m to 9m between Cape Agulhas and Durban.
