Eight people were injured this morning (July 26) after two collisions on the M2 East near the N3 split in Germiston.<\/p>\n

ER24 paramedics responded to the scene and arrived at 7.20am.<\/p>

\u201cUpon arrival, paramedics found that a light motor vehicle had rear-ended a taxi and both were in the middle of the road,\u201d said Russel Meiring, spokesman for ER24.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn assessment, paramedics found that five people had been injured in the collision.<\/p>

\u201cFortunately, the injuries sustained were only minor.\u201d<\/p>\n

While paramedics were treating the patients, a secondary collision occurred involving three light motor vehicles.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn assessment, paramedics found that all three drivers had sustained minor injuries.<\/p>\n

\u201cParamedics treated all the patients and thereafter transported them to nearby hospitals for further treatment,\u201d Meiring said.<\/p>\n

Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.<\/p>\n
