and stamina tested"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Germiston-based Central Gauteng Athletics (CGA) hosted another instalment of the cross-country league, at the Dorothy Nyembe Park, in Soweto, on July 16.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was the second-last league meeting of the 2016 cross-country season,\u201d said CGA\u2019s Mbalenhle Ngema.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cCompliments on a great choice of venue was the common sentiment expressed by athletes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we head towards the end of the season, the province is more adamant that this year\u2019s provincial championships will be on fire.\u201d<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>Ngema also identified athletes producing impressive results.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCornelia Joubert (Boxer AC), Keneilwe Sesing (KPMG RC) and Namakwa Nkhasi, who now runs for Nedbank RC, are consistent in their performances and are also among the top performing athletes,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery galleryid-128579 gallery-columns-3 minutes and 48 seconds.<\/li>\n<li>Xolisa Tyali (Nedbank RC) finished second in 31 minutes and 49 seconds.<\/li>\n<li>Lucky Mohale (Boxer AC) finished third in 32 minutes and 45 seconds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Women:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cornelia Joubert (Boxer AC) finished first in 36 minutes and 47 seconds.<\/li>\n<li>Keneilwe Sesing (KPMG RC) finished second in 38 minutes and 39 seconds.<\/li>\n<li>Farida Zwane (Cool Running) finished third in 38 minutes and 40 seconds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cThe last league meeting will be held in Alberton, on Saturday, July 30,\u201d said Ngema.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat will be followed by the provincial championships, to be held at the Boksburg Stadium, on August 13.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Other athletics articles you might be
