the love"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Members at the Germiston customer care centre chose Bertha Gxowa Hospital as their beneficiary this Mandela Day.<\/p>\n<p>The team headed to the hospital\u2019s paediatric ward to spend their 67 minutes with the children.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cWe just wanted to show the children some love,\u201d said the customer relations manager, Mpho Nhlapo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChildren need all the love and support they can get, and we just wanted them to know that we care.\u201d<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>Water department employees were also part of the initiative, together with the health and social and urban management departments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLove must be spread every day and not just on Mandela Day,\u201d said the urban management manager, Londiwe Mtshali.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is also for that reason that this visit will not be the last but will be followed by many more.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nhlapo also agreed with Mtshali and said, \u201cWe will establish an ongoing relationship with the hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The team also gave the children party packs filled with sweets, juice and other delicious treats.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe also gave the nurses blankets as they play a key role in taking care of the children,\u201d said Nhlapo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will also recognise other hospitals and spread the love.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want the community to know that the Germiston
