Primrose motorists will be affected by the road closure that will be implemented at the intersection of Rietfontein and Cemetery roads, from June 27 to July 16.<\/p>\n
The closure is due to the construction work that will take place during that period.<\/p>
\u201cIt is the second phase of construction work by Lubbe Construction Pty Ltd,\u201d said the construction manager at Lubbe Construction, Mbulelo Maneli.<\/p>\n
\u201cWork is continuing to complete the construction of the Rand Water pipeline on Cemetery Road.<\/p>
\u201cWork at this intersection will be carried out every Monday to Friday from 6am to 6pm, and on Saturdays from 6am to 5pm, weather permitting.<\/p>\n
\u201cMotorists will still be unable to use the intersection even after the operation hours.\u201d<\/p>\n
The work started in May, last year, which also saw a number of road closures.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis work will include excavation, pipe laying, backfilling and reinstating of the affected areas of the road,\u201d explained Maneli.<\/p>\n
\u201cAppropriate controls were identified and implemented as part of the project approval.<\/p>\n
\u201cConstruction environmental management plans, traffic management plans and health and safety management plans have been submitted to the client (Rand Water and Ekurhuleni) and have been subsequently approved.\u201d<\/p>\n
