Planned power interruption on Sunday: <a href=\"http:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/123712\/planned-power-interruptions-on-sunday\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/bit.ly\/1WxRHuq<\/a><\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>The metro warned residents of their plans for maintenance at the Chapman Road substation, in Germiston. The power supply to several areas was switched off from 6am to 6pm last Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>2. Stolen cable causes power outage in several areas of Germiston: <a href=\"http:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/124246\/stolen-cable-causes-power-outage-in-several-areas-of-germiston\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/bit.ly\/1OfSQUO<\/a><\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>Several areas in Germiston were again left without power on Wednesday. The outage was reportedly caused by the theft of a 33KV feeder cable.<\/p>\n<p>3. Safeguard your dogs against poisoners: <a href=\"http:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/124168\/safeguard-your-dogs-against-poisoners\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/bit.ly\/1YeqXP8<\/a><\/p>\n<p>An Elsburg family was left distraught after their three dogs were poisoned in the early hours of last Tuesday morning. The dogs, Dreamer, Smokie and Lulu, were poisoned at their Olivier Street, Elsburg, home, and the family\u2019s garden furniture was stolen. Charn\u00e9 Redder told the GCN that when the family woke up they found all three dogs lying dead on the ground.<\/p>\n<p>4. National News &#8211; Bodies found tied up, burnt inside container: <a href=\"http:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/lnn\/184381\/bodies-found-tied-up-burnt-inside-container\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/bit.ly\/1UG7hxO<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The charred bodies of two men were found with their hands bound inside a burnt-out tools container at a construction site in Kempton Park, recently. \u201cEmergency services were called to the scene of a reported \u2018house fire\u2019,\u201d said Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Management Services (DEMS) spokesman William Ntladi. On arrival at the scene, DEMS found it was not a house fire but a blaze at a construction site, where a huge tools container was on fire. The two bodies were found after the blaze was extinguished.<\/p>\n<p>5. National News &#8211; Cause of Boksburg crash remains unknown: <a href=\"http:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/lnn\/184474\/cause-of-benoni-crash-remains-unknown\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/bit.ly\/1VQ2L50<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Five women were struck by a white Camry while walking on a footpath along the paved shoulder of Main Reef Road, in Boksburg, recently. Four of the women were catapulted into the air by the impact and died on the scene. The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital.
