It is also great fun to experiment with different ingredients.<\/p>\n<p>Dukkah can be sprinkled over roasted vegetables, pasta, feta cheese, peaches and asparagus. It\u00a0is also often used as a crust for lamb, chicken, and fish.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>BASIC INGREDIENTS<br \/>\nNuts \u2013 hazelnuts, almonds, pistachios, cashews, pine nuts, macadamia nuts<br \/>\nSesame seeds<br \/>\nCoriander<br \/>\nCumin<\/p>\n<p>OPTIONAL ADDITIONS<br \/>\nDried marjoram, mint or thyme<br \/>\nDried lemon zest<br \/>\nRed chili flakes or chili powder<br \/>\nFreshly ground or whole peppercorns<br \/>\nOther seeds and spices of your choice<br \/>\nSugar<br \/>\nSalt<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>DUKKAH (BASIC RECIPE)<br \/>\nMakes 2 1\/4 cups<\/p>\n<p>1 cup nuts<br \/>\n1\/2 cup sesame seeds<br \/>\n1\/2 cup coriander seeds<br \/>\n1\/4 cup cumin seeds<br \/>\n1 teaspoon sea salt<br \/>\nBlack pepper<\/p>\n<p>METHOD<\/p>\n<p>Toast the nuts and seeds in separate batches. Let them cool completely.<\/p>\n<p>Combine all the ingredients in a food processor and pulse. The mixture may be fine or coarse, depending on personal preference, but be sure it is dry and crumbly. Over-mixing will turn it into a paste.
