{"id":120099,"date":"2016-04-29T08:35:00","date_gmt":"2016-04-29T06:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/120099\/new-hope-for-ithembelihle-lsen-school-students\/"},"modified":"2016-05-05T09:58:58","modified_gmt":"2016-05-05T07:58:58","slug":"new-hope-for-ithembelihle-lsen-school-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/develop.citizen.co.za\/germiston-city-news\/news-headlines\/2016\/04\/29\/new-hope-for-ithembelihle-lsen-school-students\/","title":{"rendered":"New hope for Ithembelihle Lsen School students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ithembelihle Lsen School in Primrose was thrilled when they received a generous donation from Group Five Projects recently.<\/p>\n<p>The funds were raised through Group Five Projects\u2019 fifth addition of the J2D Charity Cycle Tour.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>The J2D Charity Cycle Tour took place from October 14 to 18, 2015, and saw 22 cyclists cycle an estimated 600km from Johannesburg to Durban over the course of five days.<\/p>\n<p>The last leg of the tour was cycled as part of the Amashova Durban Classic Race, which runs from Pietermaritzburg to Durban covering a distance of 106km.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>The aim of the initiative was to raise as much as possible for Ithembelihle Lsen School, and a total of R109 438 was raised.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_120101\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-120101\" style=\"width: 520px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/31\/2016\/04\/PlaquePhoto5_29544.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-120101\" src=\"https:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/31\/2016\/04\/PlaquePhoto5_29544-520x390.jpg\" alt=\"Donovan Carroll, general manager of Group Five Projects (left) hands a plaque to Leonor Ngozi, principal of Ithembelihle Lsen School during the group\u2019s recent visit to the school.
