Pensioner\u2019s ears, nose cut off in brutal murder: <a href=\"http:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/116733\/pensioners-ears-nose-cut-off-eye-cut-out-in-brutal-murder\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/bit.ly\/1Py5Y17<\/a><\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>A Delville family is reeling after the brutal murder of a family member last Thursday. The 72-year-woman was stabbed in the stomach and neck and had both her ears and her nose cut off. Capt George Raphulu, head of communications for the Germiston SAPS, said: \u201cThe woman\u2019s granddaughter and grandson-in-law left the house at about 8am to go to work and, when the grandson-in-law returned at about 3pm, he found her dead.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>2. The power interruption was planned to take place between 7am to 3pm, but was later cancelled before being implemented.<\/p>\n<p>3. Police nab man after restaurant shooting:<a href=\"http:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/116216\/police-nab-man-after-restaurant-shooting\/\" target=\"_blank\"> http:\/\/bit.ly\/1XJm0v7<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A 24-year-old man was recently arrested in Primrose after a shooting incident in Bedfordview. WO Mduduzi Nhlabathi, communications officer for the Germiston SAPS cluster, told the GCN that the Bedfordview police heard a loud bang coming from just outside the police station at about 5am. \u201cThey rushed outside and saw a crowd of people gathering near a restaurant opposite the police station. The police found two men lying in a pool of blood,\u201d said Nhlabathi.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>4. Residents claim cellphone towers are harmful: <a href=\"http:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/116327\/residents-claim-cellphone-towers-are-harmful\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/bit.ly\/25nu0HK<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Cellphone towers are a normal sight in our community. However, some Germiston residents want the towers in their areas removed as they feel that they are detrimental to their health.
