all wine and whisky fans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Ekurhuleni Wine and Whisky Festival, set to take place at the D\u2019oreale Grande Gardens at Emperors Palace from April 1 to 3, promises to delight connoisseurs and fanatics alike with premium whisky and wine tasters, paired with delectable food and ambient entertainment throughout.<\/p>\n<p>Organisers Asakhe Events and SA Wines divulged that it will be so much more than a celebration, though.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cThe Ekurhuleni Wine and Whisky Festival is poised to become a hallmark annual affair that will fuse entertainment and empowerment in such a manner that it will have a lasting, positive impact on the Ekurhuleni community,\u201d said Tshepang Lutshaba, from Asakhe Events.<\/p>\n<p>On April 1, a workshop will be hosted to present owners of taverns, restaurants and liquor stores with an opportunity to meet top distilleries and wineries.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>Here they will also sample products and learn the finer details about whisky and wine.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, 30 to 40 young adults will be trained to act as runners and promoters during the build-up and during the event itself.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA significant amount of time will be invested to train these youngsters and to ensure that they retain the skills.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe idea is to keep on utilising them for other promotions, right through the year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey will not only gain people and marketing skills, but will also receive formal wine appreciation training from SA Wines,\u201d said Lutshaba.<\/p>\n<p>From Saturday, April 2, to Sunday, April 3, festival-goers can expect to be entertained by Metro FM\u2019s Pru, Joemann and Cubique, and local Kasi FM deejay, DJ MXO.<\/p>\n<p>Over and above the complimentary tastings at the various stalls, visitors will be able to buy merchandise at cellar prices.<\/p>\n<p>A selection of scrumptious eats will complement the beverages, including freshly baked breads, a selection of cheeses, olives,
