assaulted with a sjambok"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Primrose police recently arrested a 43-year-old man and charged him with assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm.<\/p>\n<p>The arrest was made in the Delport informal settlement after the accused allegedly assaulted his girlfriend with a sjambok and his fists after an argument about their late child\u2019s burial.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cRealising that her boyfriend did not want to bury the child, the complainant decided to pack her bags and leave him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was then he allegedly begun to beat her,\u201d said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>He has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrates court where his case was postponed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other articles you may be
