care of your car"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Primrose police are appealing to the community to help reduce the number of vehicle thefts in the area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe still have people who leave their valuables in their vehicles at night, or park them on the pavements instead of in a yard or garage,\u201d said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cWe ask that the community help the police fight crime, not encourage criminals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Here are some vehicle safety tips that community members should bear in mind at all times:<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Remove all valuables, for example, laptops, cellphones and toolboxes.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Make sure to park vehicles in a safe place and not outside your yard.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Check if all doors and gates are closed and locked.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Car stereos with removable faces should be removed before exiting the vehicle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To report any suspicious vehicles or behaviour contact the patrol
