The journey to motherhood is filled with joy and special moments.<\/p>\n

With this in mind, the Life Roseacres Hospital hosted a pregnancy awareness open day to celebrate everything about pregnancy, as well as to offer mothers-to-be some helpful tips on what to expect during pregnancy.<\/p>

A number of pregnancy-related exhibition stands were also set up on the day, to offer the guests more insight into the different areas of pregnancy.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe day saw our hospital\u2019s experts from various disciplines, namely, obstetricians, gynaecologists, dieticians and physiotherapists, speaking to our guests on a number of important issues,\u201d said Dimakatso Sithole, the marketing and communications coordinator for the hospital.<\/p>

Topics of discussion included pregnancy-induced hypertension, anaemia, self-care during pregnancy, vital signs and the benefits of 4D scanning.<\/p>\n

The event ended with guests taking a tour of the hospital\u2019s maternity ward, including the neo-natal ICU (NNICU).<\/p>\n
