The quiet of Solheim was disrupted at 3pm last Wednesday, when the Primrose police swooped on a unit at the Kennedy Flats, in Mercurius Road.<\/p>\n

Three vehicles raced to the scene after the police received a call from radio control saying that an anonymous caller had said that a man was involved in drug deals at the flat.<\/p>

“Upon arrival they found two women at the flat,” said Const Styles Maome, the communications officer for the Primrose SAPS.<\/p>\n

“They asked the women where the man who was allegedly selling drugs was, and were told that he was sleeping.”<\/p>

The police officers started searching the flat and also called the SAPS K9 Unit to come in and assist them.<\/p>\n

During their search they discovered various types of drugs with a street value of about R15 000 hidden in socks and shoes in the wardrobe.<\/p>\n

They also discovered about R207 200 in cash and a number of cellphones.<\/p>\n

The police arrested the two women, as well as the man, and took them to the Primrose Police Station.<\/p>\n

The women are aged 24 and 27, and the man is 27.<\/p>\n

They are due to appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon.<\/p>\n

“The management of the Primrose SAPS thanks the anonymous caller for giving us the information which led to the arrests,” said Maome.<\/p>\n

“The police encourage the community to keep letting us know about crime and criminals in the area.”<\/p>\n
