Eskom<\/a> has not had to implement load shedding for the past six weeks.<\/p>\n

“We do not anticipate that we will have to implement load shedding today or in the near future as the power system is currently stable,” the company said in a statement.<\/p>

The company, however, continues to urge all South Africans to save electricity<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Every little bit of savings goes a long way in assisting us to manage the demand and supply of electricity and to reduce the risk of load shedding,” Eskom said.<\/p>

Eskom will continue to provide regular updates on the state of the power system through various media platforms.<\/p>\n
