{"id":10254,"date":"2013-08-06T11:50:00","date_gmt":"2013-08-06T09:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/10254\/springs-advertiser-team-wins-r-10-000-in-hirschs-vouchers\/"},"modified":"2013-08-06T11:47:29","modified_gmt":"2013-08-06T09:47:29","slug":"springs-advertiser-team-wins-r-10-000-in-hirschs-vouchers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/develop.citizen.co.za\/germiston-city-news\/news-headlines\/2013\/08\/06\/springs-advertiser-team-wins-r-10-000-in-hirschs-vouchers\/","title":{"rendered":"Springs Advertiser team wins R 10 000 in Hirsch\u2019s vouchers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Springs Advertiser team of Marisa and Dennis Williams won last weekend\u2019s leg of the Caxton Reynolds Race, scored 12 points and won R10 000 in Hirsch\u2019s vouchers.<\/p>\n<p>After fighting for the win against time, and with 11 other teams on their heels, Marisa and Dennis managed to come out on top.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>Last weekend\u2019s lead took our teams to the Scottish War Horse Memorial in Kensington, where they had to complete various tasks, including counting the steps leading up to the memorial, in order to try to score enough points to help them make it to the finals on September 21.<\/p>\n<p>The results, after last weekend, put the Springs Advertiser team in first place with 24 points, Brakpan Herald in second place with 20 points, and Southern Courier in third place with 17 points.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>To view the rest of the results and bios of all 12 the teams, visit http:\/\/bit.ly\/reynoldsrace .<\/p>\n<p>The three teams to get the most points by the end of the heat rounds will continue to the finals, to be held at the Boksburg Rugby Club, in the form of a family fun day for residents from all over the East Rand to enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>The winning team on the final day will walk away with a trip for four to Mauritius, all expenses paid, sponsored by SA Reynolds Travel Centre.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Readers competition:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Each week, for the next 10 weeks, our readers will stand the chance to win a R500 Hirsch\u2019s voucher by answering the question we publish right here.<\/p>\n<p>To enter, SMS the keyword Race, followed by the correct answer to the question below, and your first name, to 35718.<\/p>\n<p>SMSes are charged at R1.50 each.
