{"id":101734,"date":"2015-10-07T11:10:00","date_gmt":"2015-10-07T09:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/101734\/call-for-proposals-for-grants-in-aid-support\/"},"modified":"2015-10-07T12:14:43","modified_gmt":"2015-10-07T10:14:43","slug":"call-for-proposals-for-grants-in-aid-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/develop.citizen.co.za\/germiston-city-news\/news-headlines\/2015\/10\/07\/call-for-proposals-for-grants-in-aid-support\/","title":{"rendered":"Time is running out to apply for grants-in-aid support"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Ekurhuleni Metro has reviewed its Grants-in-Aid policy and will, this year, embark on a new approach aligned to its community empowerment programme, Mintirho Ya Vula Vula.<\/p>\n<p>Announced by Mayor Mondli Gungubele during his 2015 State of the City Address, Mintirho Ya Vula Vula is aimed at maximizing local content and participation particularly by women, youth and people living with disabilities.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>According to Themba Gadebe, metro spokesperson, this is to be achieved through the creation of sustainable jobs, skills development, and the promotion of industrialisation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOrganisations are therefore invited to submit proposals for financial support under the following high level priority areas: sports, recreation, arts and culture and social cohesion;
