Children’s rugby team excels in matches

Small lion club's take to the field.

Laerskool Die President’s u-7 Tau rugby team faced a number of opponents on Hoërskool Goudrif’s grounds, on May 10.

We played five games and won all five; we are so proud of these little ones,” said coach Maritz Vilbert.

The day was hosted by Laerskool Oosterkruin.

Tau is a North Sotho word for small lion club and is a programme that teaches the basics of rugby to children.

St Benedict’s, Laerskool MW de Wet Primary and Laerskool President Steyn were among the schools present on the day.
