Flying fun at the Rand Airshow

Skies above the heart of Germiston were recently adorned with spectacular aerobatic teams.

Aircraft artifacts by artist Richard Sithole were displayed at the Rand Airshow.

The Rand Airshow returned for its annual showcase of aerobatics at Rand Airport last Sunday.

All aircraft fanatics and their families enjoyed a wide range of entertainment, from aerobatic teams such as the Puma Energy Flying Lions Aerobatic Team, five-time South African aerobatics champion Pat Davidson and a low passing stunt by the Mango Boeing 737-85F.

Pilots descended on Rand Airport in various air-bound machinery to showcase tricks, stunts and appreciation for aerobatics.
