Six families got a little something extra this Christmas, with the arrival of six Christmas babies at Germiston’s local hospitals.
The Bertha Gxowa Hospital welcomed five of the six babies, four girls and one boy, with the day’s second boy being delivered at the Life Roseacres Hospital.
The Bertha Gxowa Hospital welcomed five beautiful Christmas babies on Christmas day. The first was Siphathisiw Thodlani’s baby girl, who was born at five minutes past midnight. She weighed 2.505kg at birth and was 44cm in length with a head circumference of 33cm.
Betty Kumwenda gave birth to a precious baby girl at 7.15am at the Bertha Gxowa Hospital on Christmas morning. The little girl, who has not yet been named, weighed 3.025kg at birth and was 53cm in length with a head circumference of 36cm.
The second Christmas baby born at the Bertha Gxowa Hospital was baby Sibanda. She was born at 2.50am. The baby girl weighed 2.665kg at birth and was 48cm in length with a head circumference of 38cm. Here the baby girl is cradled by her proud mother Sitshengisiwe Sibanda.
Happy Lesailana was born at 5.12am on Christmas morning to proud mother Moshibudi. The baby boy weighed 2.980kg at birth and was 48cm in length with a head circumference of 34cm.
Songezile Ngilana welcomed her baby girl to the world at 5.10am on Christmas morning. The little bundle of joy weighed 3.210kg at birth and was 46cm in length with a head circumference of 35cm.
The Life Roseacres Hospital welcomed just one Christmas baby to the world. The baby boy named Thapelo was born at 3.20am and weighed 3.5kg at birth, he was 49cm in length with a head circumference of 35cm. Mother Meriam Motene couldn’t be happier with her beautiful Christmas baby.
