ALERT: These Germiston areas have no water

Many Germiston areas affected by water shortages.

The metro continues to appeal to residents and businesses to utilise water sparingly.

This comes as temperatures continue to soar, putting a strain on the water supply.

There is currently no water in the following areas of Germiston:

The metro is, however, providing water tankers at the following locations:

The levels in the reservoirs supplying the following areas are at a critical level and there may be low water pressure:

Southern parts of Ekurhuleni

Consumers in all areas of Ekurhuleni are requested to adhere to the following measures:

If the situation in all of the areas deteriorates further, the metro will implement water shedding measures and shut off supply from 10pm to 3am.

Water and sanitation officials at the metro are continuously monitoring the levels at reservoirs throughout the city and will implement water shedding measures as required.
