Eskom announced this morning that the risk of load shedding is low despite an increase in electricity demand due to the chilly weather.
This comes after a week of high risk caused by a power station in Mozambique, which supplies the utility with about 1,500 megawatts, undergoing maintenance, as well as, a number of Eskom’s units being offline.
The company urges customers to continue to use electricity sparingly.
