The Germiston police are investigating a case of concealment of birth after a foetus was discovered in a dustbin in the CBD this afternoon (Sunday).
Street cleaners made the discovery in a bin on the corner of Knox and President streets at about 1.30pm.
“The foetus was concealed in a plastic bag which was then put into the garbage bin,” said Sgt Mduduzi Nhlabathi, communications officer for the Germiston cluster SAPS.
The police were called and opened a case of concealment of birth.
No arrests have been made as yet.
