The metro is aware of the electricity supply interruption affecting Fishers’ Hill this morning (Wednesday).
The outage is due to a faulty cable.
Ekurhuleni technicians are currently working to repair the fault.
Residents are urged to treat all electrical networks and equipment as electrically alive at all times.
“The metro wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused,” said Themba Gadebe, spokesman for the metro.
The GCN has contacted the metro for more details on the fault.
