The metro is aware of the power supply interruption affecting parts of Germiston and its surrounding areas due to a faulty cable this morning.
Ekurhuleni technicians are currently on site repairing the damaged cable at the Germiston North substation.
The affected areas are:
- Germiston Extensions Eight and Nine.
- Tedstoneville.
Power is expected to be restored by midday.
Residents are urged to treat all electrical networks and equipment as electrically live at all times.
The metro apologises for any inconvenience caused.
