The South African Weather Service today warned residents of severe thunderstorms predicted for the weekend.
These severe thunderstorms could bring with them damaging winds and even hail.
Despite this latest warning the community is asked to still be alert as the province is still at a high risk of veld fires.
These conditions are believed to be a result of the hot weather conditions.
Residents are asked to take care when travelling, and to be sure that their vehicles and animals have proper shelter.
