Dedicated team distribute water to the elderly and disabled

Helping those who need it most.

These 100 5lt plastic containers were filled with water and distributed to the elderly and disabled in Solheim and Sunnyridge during the recent water crisis.

Every cloud has a silver lining, or so the old saying goes.

This seems to be the case with the recent water crisis that gripped the province.

Tanya Schoonderwoerd and a dedicated team made the decision, during the crisis, to distribute water to the elderly and disabled of Solheim and Sunnyridge.

“I arranged the bottles from Leonard Rovetti from T3 Plastics,” explained Schoonderwoerd.

“I then collected the bottles and dropped them off with Bryan Storrier, who filled them and distributed the water to the needy.

“It’s amazing how strangers can come together in a time of need.”
