The Germiston police recently re-arrested a man who had escaped from police custody.
The man, who was originally arrested and charged with theft, was apprehended shortly after officers noticed that he was missing.
“How the suspect was able to escape is still under investigation,” said WO André de Jager, spokesperson for the Germiston SAPS.
