Officers from the Primrose Police Station recently arrested a 36-year-old man from the Marathon informal settlement, for the possession of dagga.
The arrest was made during a routine patrol in the settlement, when the officers noticed three men acting suspiciously.
They searched the men and one of them was found to be in possession of four small plastic bags containing dagga.
He was arrested and detained at the Primrose Police Station until his appearance in the Germiston Magistrates Court.
The case has since been postponed for trial.
