The metro informs Germiston residents and business owners that engineers are working around the clock to restore power to the Germiston CBD and surrounding areas.
Repair work is currently being carried out on a damaged cable connected to the main substation supplying the area.
Work is expected to be completed by this evening.
The metro apologises for the inconvenience caused and assures residents that engineers will work tirelessly until power is restored in the affected areas.
