El Nino Crèche, in Delville, recently held its very first science fair.
They had a great turnout and everyone, especially the children, enjoyed it immensely.
The Grade R teacher, Antonet Dreyer, decided to hold the science fair because she believes it is very important for children to be exposed to different school subjects from a young age.
The children and parents enjoyed it so much that the principal, Maureen Dreyer, has decided to make it an annual event.
The projects included an electricity project, the rain cycle and phone cups.
Zandile Malinga (left) won second place for her rain cycle poster. She explains it to Grade R teacher Antonet Dreyer.
