Another accident on Barbara Road

Overturned truck on Barbara Road.

The GCN responded to reports of an overturned truck.

The truck, which appeared to be transporting scrap metal, overturned on Barbara Road in the Woodmere area.

The accident is believed to have taken place at about 11am this morning.

  1. Another accident… Hopefully something will be done soon! As a resident of Barbara road, I really hope something happens soon. LEaving and entering our driveways has become a risk in itself.

About 5 or 6 people have died on that corner this last year alone and all that they do is to install flashing danger lights.If the council does not want to put up speed bumps then put up camera’s or have regular speed traps.Let the lazy people get off their lazy butt’s and do some work.When there is an accident then the traffic department only arrives when somebody has died or when it is fatal.In the earlier years the traffic was detoured on Pretoria road where it is straight.We are to scared to even cross over a green robot at the Barbara rd Pretoria rd intersection.Lets see if somebody can do something constructive to prevent the accidednts and deaths in this section of road
