Gardeners help SPCA

Garden club donates to the Germiston SPCA.

The garden club members, their chairman Heather Jayes (centre, front) and Kingston (front, third from left) enjoyed spending time at the club's recent monthly meeting.

The Germiston SPCA recently received a donation from the Bedfordview Garden Club.

The gift consisted of dog food, water bowls, blankets and cash.

Laurence Kingston, manager of the Germiston society, said: “We are most grateful for all the support we received and I am pleased that I was given the opportunity of addressing the members about matters affecting the SPCA.”

Members of the Bedfordview Garden Club relaxed in Lynne Claesson’s Bedfordview garden during the club’s monthly meeting.
