A litter of 14 cross-pit bull puppies was recently surrendered to the Germiston SPCA by their owner.

Manager of the SPCA Laurence Kingston is urging all responsible animal owners to have their pets sterilised as soon as possible.

The SPCA needs the community’s assistance to help to reduce the uncontrolled breeding of dogs and cats, as many of these end up as strays or are abandoned.

Community members can seek advice at their local veterinary hospital, or they can contact the SPCA on 011 825-5033.
