Two men, aged 24 and 31, were arrested on charges of shoplifting, in separate incidents on February 19, when shop assistants noticed them acting suspiciously.
The first man is accused of stealing R25 worth of sweets, while the second attempted to get away with a pack of mutton valued at R144.
Officers responded timeously to each incident and the two men were taken to the Primrose Police Station, to await their appearance in the Germiston Magistrates Court.
Both cases have since been postponed for trial.
