A 41-year-old man was arrested for theft, by the Primrose SAPS, recently.
The arrest took place after, it is alleged, the man’s employer saw him cutting steel and hiding it under a vehicle.
The employer called the Primrose SAPS patrol vehicle which responded quickly and arrested the man on the scene.
“As police we thank our members for their swift reaction time; we also thank the employer who did not take the law into his own hands,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose SAPS.
The man is due to appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon.
