The Primrose police were recently called to the Marathon informal settlement, by a woman claiming her boyfriend had been murdered.
When officers arrived at the scene they found a man lying on his back with stab wounds.
The woman explained that they had been followed from a local tavern by an unknown woman, who had stabbed her boyfriend and disappeared.
Detectives launched an investigation and arrested a 24-year-old woman for the crime.
