Members of the Johannesburg K9 Unit recently arrested a 26-year-old man on charges of drug possession.
The arrest was made while members of the unit were on patrol in the Primrose area.
The officers stopped a vehicle at the corner of Rietfontein and Cemetry roads and asked the driver to get out of the vehicle while the sniffer dogs searched the car.
The dogs began to bark and alerted the officers to the man’s wallet.
In the wallet, the officers found a zip-lock bag containing a white substance, and a straw.
The man was arrested and transported to the Primrose Police Station.
