At about 9pm on January 11, a number of people accessed a property in Railway Street, in the Germiston CBD, by making a hole in the roof.
The alarm was triggered and an ADT reaction officer responded.
He requested back-up and, when security officers inspected the premises, they noticed a suspect inside the building.
The Germiston SAPS were called and they and the ADT officers apprehended the suspect.
Clive Humphrey, managing director of ADT Central Region, praised the officers for assisting the SAPS to arrest the suspect.
