The Primrose police arrested a 42-year-old man for contempt of court,on January 2.
The man allegedly disobeyed a protection order that was served on him by the police.
He waited for the police to leave before going to the complainant (who had applied for the protection order) and started swearing at him.
He also allegedly spat on the victim, who immediately called the police.
The accused was arrested.
He appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court and the matter was postponed for trial.
