Hijackers convicted and sentenced

Germiston police secure conviction.

WO Deon Doubell, of the Germiston SAPS, was recently involved in a hijacking investigation.

His investigation led to the arrest of two suspects, Bongani Dlamini and Lehlohonolo Mphafudi.

On November 5, the two suspects, both aged 26, appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court and were found guilty and each was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment.

“Germiston SAPS station commander Brig Samuel Thambo congratulated Doubell on his committed work attitude and excellent detective work,” said WO André de Jager, spokesman for the Germiston SAPS.
