EMPD officers recently arrested a 24-year-old man on a charge of common robbery.
They made the arrest during a routine patrol in the Primrose area, when they noticed him robbing a student of his school bag.
The bag contained R10 and the student’s books.
The suspect was arrested and transported to the Primrose Police Station, where he was detained, pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrates Court.
“We thank the EMPD for their efforts; together we will make Primrose a safe area to be,” said Const Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
