Over the recent long weekend, the Katlehong SAPS Visible Policing Unit police arrested 31 people for various offences, during daily stop-and-search operations.
Arrests were made for assault (including serious assault), malicious damage to property, possession of dagga, pointing a firearm, theft, shoplifting, selling liquor without a licence, being drunk in public, driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and rape.
The suspects were due to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court on August 12.
