Public meeting details proposed Angelo informal settlement move to residents
The metro wants to relocate the Angelo informal settlement residents, in Boksburg, onto unsafe land, in Germiston.

Debbie Watkins, the chairman of the Primrose Sector One CPF, discovered the proposed move, as well as a number of alleged irregularities regarding the purchase of the piece of land. She spoke to residents from Marlands and Witfield at a public meeting on Saturday, held at Hoërskool Goudrif.
Work has already started on the piece of land on Main Reef Road where it is alleged the residents of the Angelo informal settlement, in Boksburg, will be moved to. The land is old mining land and littered with sinkholes and a disused mineshaft.
